Cu2010 – World’s most important copper conference!
The co-organizing societies are as follows:
TMS and SME are representing the USA and Mexico. MetSoc represents Canada, Australia, and Africa. IIMCh is for South America, MMIJ is for Japan, China, and South-East Asia (including Indonesia, Korea, Thailand, Philippines and India) while GDMB is for Europe, Russia and the Middle East, up to Iran and Egypt and Central Asia (e.g. Kazakhstan). This international platform for copper production and processing engineers, as well as experts on mining, wet and hot extraction methods, and the refining of metal along with experts from colleges, universities, institutes, and manufacturers is for exchanging their knowledge and establishing new contacts. This conference will contain the sessions that are listed below:
Furthermore, conference tours and field trips will be organized in order to offer visits to namable factories in Europe. The organizing committee also plans to establish short courses in Europe. The committee is open to suggestions from experts who possess exceptional skills in the arrangement of such courses. The conference is supplemented by a metallurgical exhibition that provides an excellent opportunity for attendees/delegates of the metal producers/smelters and delegates of equipment manufacturers/service suppliers to discuss all the potential solutions for solving the actual problems or further upgrading of plant components/equipments. There will also be a dedicated poster session where presenters will be able to outline the topic of their poster within a period of approximately five minutes. The posters will be displayed throughout the entire venue in order to enable further direct contact with the delegates. A selection will be made by the Organizing Committee to award a money prize for the best poster of Cu2010. In the framework of the social programme, a selection of interesting visits and tours will be presented to delegates who will have the opportunity to gain unforgettable impressions of the great atmosphere of this big port city in Northern Germany. Whether Elbe, Alster, PortCity, Storehouse City, the Fish Market, or Reeperbahn – something new can be discovered, experienced, and marveled at every day. We are expecting to welcome participants from every continent and we greatly look forward to arranging a scientific technical programme of top-class papers that will make this conference an enormous success for every attendee who joins in. Please pay special attention to the Second Announcement & Call for Papers including new deadlines, which is provided on this Copper 2010 website. Continuously updated information on the Conference and Exhibition is also provided on the Copper 2010 website www.cu2010.gdmb.de, which all potential delegates are kindly invited to consult periodically.
