Scientific Programme

Copper – Indicator of the progress of civilization

Copper 2010 – 7th International Copper Conference will be held in Hamburg, Germany, in June 6 – 10, 2010. The Copper Conference today is the most important technical event for engineers, scientists, fabricators and users of copper in the world. Copper in the last years has become a more and more important factor in the developing economies of East Asian countries and this will last for many years – as all experts confirm. Copper can be seen as an indicator of the progress of civilization in each country. Copper Conferences are the place where technicians and engineers of the mining industry, from copper smelters, scientists and professors from universities as well as specialists from the fabrication and other users of the red metal from all continents can meet each other, hear interesting scientific news and exchange their opinions about actual topics. All the relevant areas of copper production and application and their surroundings like energy savings, process optimization, health and safety issues, cost and commerce, recycling and new developments are presented in a series of parallel sessions held in three interesting days, followed by post-conference tours and field trips to remarkable industry productions.
